When Lowe died in 1940, his son and his business partner took over and began to grow the operation. There are now around 2,355 locations in the United States and Canada.
Their vision is to “provide customer-valued solutions with the best prices, products and services to make Lowe’s the first choice for home improvement.”
Lowe’s is committed to advancing opportunities for inclusion; they score 100 on the Disability Equality Index and are recognized as one of the best places to work for disability inclusion.
During the coronavirus pandemic, Lowe’s donated respirators to the country’s two largest healthcare distribution organizations. Lowe’s has also contributed over $65 million dollars to Habitat for Humanity and organizes volunteers to build homes for families in need.
Lowe’s Values:
- Focus on customers.
- Deliver results.
- Take action.
- Show courage.
- Continue learning.
Every Lowe’s in the United States offers curbside pick up of products purchased online with no additional charge. They also deliver products that cost more than $45.00 with no additional charge. Lowes also provides installation for an additional fee.
