Did you know Lowe’s was established in 1946? That’s nearly 80 years ago! The first rendition of Lower’s was opened by Lucius Smith Lowe in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina in 1921.

Home Depot was established in 1978 and has since become the world’s largest home improvement store with over 2,200 stores in the U.S. The founder’s goal was to build the largest home-improvement superstore. They started in Georgia and gradually expanded across North America.
